Blackstone River GorgeNorth Smithfield, RIApril 4, 2003 |
The Blackstone River runs from Worcester to Providence, RI. It's corridor has been dubbed the birthplace of the american industrial revolution, and many 17th century mill buildings still stand along its banks. |
We spend a Friday afternoon exploring the Blackstone River Gorge, one of the few whitewater sections of the river. It is a relatively small but beautiful park located on the Massachusetts-Rhode Island border. |
Kate found a nice front row seat along the river beneath the cliffs. |
Here the rest of us are checking out a slightly higher vantage point. |
