Blackstone River Gorge

North Smithfield, RI

April 4, 2003

Blackstone River The Blackstone River runs from Worcester to Providence, RI. It's corridor has been dubbed the birthplace of the american industrial revolution, and many 17th century mill buildings still stand along its banks.

Posing in front of the dam We spend a Friday afternoon exploring the Blackstone River Gorge, one of the few whitewater sections of the river. It is a relatively small but beautiful park located on the Massachusetts-Rhode Island border.

Chillin' by the water Kate found a nice front row seat along the river beneath the cliffs.

On top of the cliff Here the rest of us are checking out a slightly higher vantage point.
