Mission Statement
The students of Clark University hereby establish a Clark Undergraduate Student Council (CUSC), an entity which empowers students to co-ordinate activities and effect change within their university. The CUSC shall ensure a vital and active forum for students to rally support for their causes, activities and organizations; to voice discontent; and to mediate satisfying and beneficial solutions to the concerns of all Clark undergraduates. The CUSC shall be entrusted with the power to charter, fund, and co-ordinate the activities of student organizations.
Introduction
The Clark Undergraduate Student Council is comprised of three branches. The Executive Board and the Representative Council (Hall and Class Representatives) are elected from and by the undergraduate student body to represent the undergraduate population to the council as a whole and to the administration and faculty. Judiciary Committee members are appointed from the undergraduate student body by the Elections Committee, the CUSC President, and a super-majority vote of the CUSC. The CUSC is charged by the Trustees of Clark University as caretakers for the Student Activities Fee in its entirety. The CUSC is responsible for supporting the undergraduate student body by providing funds to all recognized student clubs and student initiatives. The CUSC is also responsible for representing the student body in the form of binding and non-binding legislature, resolutions, and formal correspondence with the administration.
